Hopkins NO=EQLLures are the original HOPKINS Lures. They resemble mullet, sardines, herring or any silver baitfish. NO=EQL Lures have relatively thick bodies. They are heavier then conventional spoons of the same length and can be cast much farther.

With the bucktail they have taken most Fresh and Saltwater Game fish, jigging, casting, and trolling. Hence our claim that they are the "World's Most Versatile Lures." The Hopkins is the go to surfcasting lure when the wind is in your face.

I honestly don't like giving bad reviews on lures especially on Tackle Direct
October 2, 2018
but I have to be honest however, I do not like this type of lure at all !!!! I have used them many times and never got one single fish on them, and I have used a lot of lures in my time. I have slow trolled with them. I have jigged them with multiple types of bait on them. And i have thrown them into obvious bluefish blitzes with birds hitting the water and bunker jumping out of it to get away..... Nada. No fish ever on these. Other spoons and jigs, absolutely work better then these 100%.
Cons
  • Unfortunately these just don't work to my knowledge, at least in the area i fish at.

Gold finish for off colored water. Buck tail gives added scent to your lure. Cast and retrieve this lure or jig it and it will catch fish.
Pros
  • Lure has been around a long time. Catches fish.
